Omen Presents: Nightlight

Transcript

Hello, friends! I'm Tim Krause, creator of Omen, and welcome to another special spooky edition of Omen Presents! We're busy working on our second season of swashbuckling fantasy adventures. But around this time of year, I always enjoy listening to the many, MANY great horror audio dramas out there. That's why, for all five weeks in October, I thought it'd be fun to highlight episodes from five incredible horror shows made by my podcasting friends. I really hope you'll love listening to them as much as I do.

For the fifth and final week of October, I thought I'd bookend this spine-tingling series of creepy shows with a truly special anthology. Tonia Ransom is the creator, narrator, and occasional writer and star of "Nightlight", an award-winning horror fiction podcast written by Black writers and performed by Black actors from all across the world.

Featuring stories that range from nail-biting thrillers to horrific tales that plumb the emotional depths of the human experience, "Nightlight" is often so scary and disturbing, you'll want to leave your night light on. You can listen to Tonia's extensive collection of excellently-written and performed stories at nightlightpod.com. And be sure to check out Tonia's new horror anthology, "Afflicted", at afflictedaudio.com.

You're about to hear episode seven from Nightlight's latest season called "Loneliness is in Your Blood", where a supernatural creature discovers that immortality isn't the same as eternal youth. But Tonia does a much better job explaining this unique retelling of an old folktale. So without further ado, Omen Presents "Loneliness is in Your Blood" from "Nightlight". Happy Halloween and until next we meet, fair winds and following seas!
