Omen Presents: Inn Between

Transcript

Hello, friends! I'm Tim Krause, creator of Omen, and welcome to Omen Presents--a between-season series that features episode spotlights from my audio drama friends that I think you're going to love listening to while we're busy working on season two. If you love Omen and want to support us, you can listen to our new 2-hour anthology--Apocryphal Accounts--by either becoming a patron at patreon.com/omenpodcast or by making a $5 donation at omencast.com. But the best way to support Omen is to share our show with your friends and family. Thank you so much for listening and thank you for your love and encouragement!

So Sarah and I just got back from a week-long podcasting convention, and we're simultaneously exhausted and ready to dive back into our creative work. And while this particular con was more for non-fiction podcasters and industry folks, chances to meet up with our indie audio drama friends have been few and far between lately. So we jumped at the opportunity to reconnect with our colleagues in person. And even though I was meeting many of them for the first time, it felt a lot like how you can just pick up old friendships where they left off after being apart for years. Social media played a part in that, sure. But even creators I'd never interacted with before were easy to become instant friends with.

I had a great time hanging out and exchanging ideas with some of the most influential storytellers on the indie scene. So many of us are working to advocate for independent audio drama within an industry that barely seems to acknowledge we exist. So it was really inspiring to hear about their journeys, the projects they're working on, and how they're each shaping the future of audio drama. We really have an incredible community and I'm very proud to be a part of it.

One of the lovely creators I got to reconnect with this week is my good friend Hannah Wright. Hannah is the incredibly talented creator and director of Inn Between, a delightful fantasy audio drama with an ingenious premise. The story follows five heroes and takes place between their fantastical adventures at the Goblin's Head Inn. Inn Between intentionally leaves the details of the characters' escapades to your imagination and develops their relationships as they rest and recover for their next adventure.

If you're looking for a chill fantasy series that centers around character development and friendship, then Inn Between is going to be your new favorite audio drama. The episode you're about to hear is from the middle of the first season, where our heroes argue on how best to break a magical curse. Hannah is currently working hard on the fifth season of Inn Between, so be sure to check out her entire catalog of work at thegoblinshead.com. And without further ado, Omen presents "The Plan", episode 6 season one of "Inn Between". And until next we meet, fair winds and following seas!
