Omen Presents: Apollo+

transcript

Hello, friends! I'm Tim Krause, creator of Omen, and welcome back to Omen Presents--a between-season series that features episode spotlights from my audio drama friends that you're really going to enjoy while we're busy working on Omen season two. And while I have lots of new shows to share with you soon, this installment of Omen Presents is going to be a bit different.

It's been over four months since I last checked in. And yes, Omen season two is still in production. I have to keep reminding myself that, for the majority of our production schedule, this is still just a one-person operation. It takes a lot of time to produce a quality audio drama--especially one as sprawling in scope as Omen. And since we're also an independent production, I've chosen to reserve as many of our limited funds as possible to pay our talented cast and crew when it finally comes time to record. I have to remember that season one took the better part of three years to complete. So I'm grateful this time around is going a bit faster.

All of that said, I want to focus as much of my energy as I can on finishing the season two scripts--of which I am currently working on episode nine out of a projected twelve. But I've decided to restart Omen Presents at this time for two reasons. First, there are going to be more interesting updates than just "Yup--I'm still writing" coming up in the near future.

And second, I am really excited to announce that Omen is partnering with Apollo+, which just launched today! Apollo is a creator-owned platform exclusive to audio fiction, and now they're making it even easier to support your favorite shows and creators. By signing up for Apollo+, you can listen to over 1,000 episodes of great shows like Girl in Space, Marsfall, Wooden Overcoats, or SCP Archives ad-free. You can also get early access to new releases, exclusive downloads, behind-the-scenes content, audio drama supercuts, and even more!

70% of all Apollo+ revenue goes directly to audio fiction creators. If you're a fan of shows like Afflicted, Arden, or Primordial Deep, you can help support these and over 40 other incredible shows by unlocking each of their exclusive content for only $10 a month. And I'm happy to report that my friends at A Ninth World Journal, Thirteen, and Mayfair Watcher's Society, as well as creators like Tal Minear, Jordan Cobb, and Jeremy and Dany Ellett all have excellent shows available right now on Apollo+.

But more than that, I sincerely believe in the platform Apollo has built for the audio fiction community. We've already met most of the Apollo team on a previous episode of Omen Presents. And I'm really excited for the new features that are coming as they continue to develop and grow as a team. More and more audio fiction creators are partnering with Apollo+ every month, so there will always be new shows to explore and more exclusive content to enjoy.

Right now, the Omen season one supercut is available on both Apollo+ and at all levels of our Patreon. That's nearly ten uninterrupted hours of Omen season one, including each of our bonus scenes edited back into the final cut. And of course, all of the individual episodes or Omen and our 2-hour bonus anthology can also be listened to ad-free on both platforms.

If you're a fan of multiple shows on Apollo+ (and you should be!), you can sign up on the Apollo app or by going to apollopods.com/plus. And you can also directly support Omen by becoming a patron at patreon.com/omenpodcast. Our patrons have access to everything Omen offers on Apollo+, in addition to Patreon exclusives like cast table reads, the season one original soundtrack, access to the Omen Discord, and other cool behind-the-scenes content.

Whether it's becoming an Omen patron, signing up for Apollo+, or by simply listening to and recommending the show to friends and family, thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting Omen. I can't wait to be a part of Apollo's new audio fiction community and feature more great audio dramas on Omen Presents while I continue work on season two. So until next we meet, my friends, fair winds and following seas!
